Utori no longer need to directly represent a song. I feel like that part of them was restricting your designs. Utori will continue to be called utori as they are still song birds. Happy designing!

As of today, utori is a semi-open species! That means that you are now able to create one without purchasing a slot. If you had purchased a slot from me in the past, please tell me as I will give you rare / super rare traits to refund for you.
each rare trait is 100
each super rare trait is 250
As a bonus, I'd like to implement a reward system in which if you create utori, you earn bells, a fictional currency that can be used to purchase myo slots for another species of mine, manakites, or purchasing traits! Bells can be earned in any of the following species: fuurineko, utori, and manakites
rare traits are 50 bells each
super rare are 100 bells each
For each utori included in an image, you get 5 bells! So happy drawing and designing everybody!

I've had a few questions about MYO slots so here's the pricing plan I had:
Common - 100 or $1
Uncommon - 250 or $2.50
Rare - 500 or $5
Super Rare - 1000 or $10
By purchasing any of the slots, you are able to use any traits from the respective rarity. ( ex. purchasing a rare slot allows you to use as many rare traits as you would like )

After a long summer vacation, the Bell Hoard species groups seek a spark to breathe life into them once more! Fuurineko, Utori, and Manakites have gone through quite a few changes these past couple months. I hope that you all will enjoy these new developments.

The World of Utori - Chapter 1
Along a cobblestone path softened with plant life, you come across a charming watch repair shop. Sparrows flock to the bread crumbs scattered along the front of the store. Admiring their small but energetic movements, you stare at them for a little while before returning your gaze to the storefront. At the bottom of the window, you notice some pale yellow flowers blooming in the flower pot. Curious. You've never seen these kinds of flowers before, yet they give off a warm, familiar feeling. Sitting just above the flowers, a 'help wanted' sign is posted on the window. You remember what you came here for. A job!

Refreshing Summer Adopt Event - Bell Hoard Species
With the start of summer right around the corner, many of us will be freed from final exams and another school year!
And with that, we would like to celebrate with a special adoptable event!
A great way to relax in summer is with great chilled desserts from ice cream to fruit!
In this special adoptable event, all the adopts are based on summer desserts with an emphasis on fruit.
What makes this event so special?
Other than design team members, adoptable designing is open to all members of the community!
Everyone is allowed to design one adoptable within a species of their choice to meet a prompt word (ex. watermelo

What does leadership mean to you: Leadership means cooperation. We don't have to be friends with everyone, but we need to be able to cooperate with eachother to make a safe and fun art environment. I want everyone to have a fun time drawing and enjoying the species, as well as joining fun, organized events.
I'm not sure if this is needed, but I wanted to include a resume.
I am active on DA everyday, unless I have notified my watchers before hand. For example, the only time I was sparingly on was when I was in China for school.
I have moderated and owned multiple communities on Google +, but none on DA. Most of the communities were either species or video game related, so I often helped moderate and host events. My jobs mainly included helping with disputed, but I was mainly called the "policeman" of the communities.
Suggestions (Optional): I think we should do seasonal DTA adopt batches where each mod makes one Utori, so we can give members who don't make much profit a chance to get one.
We could also do a "Secret Snowflake" or another holiday event where the members draw eachothers Utoris, and you could earn bells for entering. That way members can interact with eachother, and everyone gets something out of the event.
